Catholic Orgs and lots of Suffixes

Hi ​@jeff , to confirm I’ve understood, by integrate with online forms do you mean as a field for the contact to write into/select from when they submit a form?

If so, you can add custom fields to online forms under the additional information custom questions section. 

1. Click the checkbox next to Additional Information
2. Create a Question
3. Select Short Answer (75 char max)
4. Map it to your existing custom field -- this will make it so that when folks submit the form it will populate their answer in the custom field

From there, you are able to use it as a merge field in the form confirmation page (e.g. so that the name response reads as {{Last Name}} {{Custom Suffix}}). 

That said, let me know if I missed the mark and you’re looking for something else!

​@veronica maybe this has been updated since we began using EA, but for us the issue was that the “Custom Suffix” gets bumped down to the additional info and ends up disconnected from the rest of the name fields. 

It is disjointed for a user to fill out contact info with email, address, etc, and then later on get prompted for a suffix. 

Ultimately for most of our forms, we’ve opted to just use the default suffix and if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t fit. 

​@jeff  ah yeah, no there isn’t an out-of-box functionality to reorder the custom questions into the default Contact Information fields as much as I wish there was!
