Why are some Street Addresses missing from Address Report?

The results of an Address Report on all contacts had many rows with a missing ‘Street Address’ value, but the city, state and zip are present.  The street address is populated when looking at the individual contact record.  The addresses I reviewed appear to be valid.

Hi there @jjonik ! I do think this would need some further digging by someone on our support team so we can see exactly what’s going on as this isn’t the expected behavior. Let me know if you need help submitting a support request!

Hi jjonik, we had a similar situation occur and curious if you’re working with an advocacy organization collecting data from a wide variety of advocacy forms?

Since advocacy forms collect the required info for the local/state/federal office receiving the petition that can lead to interesting primary/preferred info on a contact record.

We had a national petition that only needed city/state/zip leaving thousands of our contacts with multiple addresses but the most recently provided address was missing a line 1. A Create a list of contacts with “address line 1” is not empty + address line 1 is empty should be an easy way to see who all that is true for.

Hi Jeff - thanks for the information, but my issue is different.  After looking into it further, I noticed that in the cases in which the ‘Street Address’ was missing, it was located in the second line of the address block.  The first line had something like a company name, c/o, etc.  In these cases, the address was not USPS Verified.  For example, the following example would not be accepted.  If the company name and street address lines were swapped, it would be verified and show up in the Address Report.

    Employee Smith

    ABC Company

    123 Elm St

    Ann Arbor, MI 48103

When outputting the information from a Create A List export, we use the Financial Household Address (Parsed) which provides the information we need so I will not be making the updates as we prefer to have the company name before the street address.

When running the Address Report, my goal was to find a list of the Address IDs which it does provide.  The missing address is not an issue in this case, but it did raise a flag
