We are helping a client get them set up. They’re great and I think they’ll be a game changer! I have feedback too. :)

@Sally Heaven awesome! I’ll make sure our product manager, Vaish, sees this! :)

Awesome! I met with Vaish a couple of weeks ago and we had a great chat about Optimized Forms where I was able to share my feedback.

I just noticed that the green Stripe Link button is no longer a payment option on the Optimized Forms that our client lauched. I had given some feedback that it would be good to make it optional since our client wasn’t sure if Stripe Link had the recognition their donors were used to seeing. Anyway, it’s now not on the form anymore.

I’m curious, was having it there a test to see what kind of usage it got?

Not advocating for it to come back, just want to know if Bonterra learned anything from it, how and when the decision was made to remove it, and so on.

And now the green Stripe Link button is back! Life happens fast. What happened?

While I’m here, I will add that I strongly recommend that the blue “Pay Another Way” button be renamed to “Pay by Credit Card or ACH” because I think “Pay Another Way” is confusing, and having it appear underneath other options separated by a line with “or” makes it seem like an afterthought or something uncommon, not to mention ambiguous.

We should keep in mind that higher net worth individuals donate more frequently by desktop or laptop and are thus less likely to see mobile payment options. When they view on desktop, they will see the green Stripe Link button first, and then

    ----------or--------------

    Pay Another Way.

It raises the question what is the other way? It doesn’t necessarily imply credit card or ACH. Why is it on a whole other level?

I think changing this before Giving Tuesday and end of year fundraising would be a really good idea. I would recommend having the (hopefully renamed) credit card/ACH button just appear stacked with the rest of the buttons.

@Sally Heaven the change to that button wording to make it clearer is one that we are making and should be available soon! appreciate that feedback

Regarding the stripe link - we didn’t do something specific to remove/re-add that so I can check on that and report back

Maybe I just witnessed a hiccup or something re: Stripe.

I encourage nonprofits to give the Optimized Forms a go, especially in advance of Giving Tuesday! The increased conversion could provide to be a big boost to your end of year fundraising.
