Sent - Not Confirmed, re-trigger confirmation emails

The enable Confirmed opt-in was used on a signup form, but the visibility of the email opt-in field was hidden. People submitting this form did not receive the triggered confirmation email. They are now marked as Sent-Not Confirmed. I am not able to change their status to pending on their contact record; the box is greyed out.

Any idea how I can send these people an opt-in confirmation email? Re-submitting the corrected form doesn’t work.

@Charles Case we are having the same issue? And, I have been trying to email some individually and they have asked to be added to email list. We have 66 records that we need to fix.

Hi @amyb ! I spoke with support for better clarification and here’s what they recommended:

“Run a test submission on the sign up form to see how the email subscription status shows on the new email address. If it is not the status they expect or want, they should check their form settings on the Build Page to make sure email subscription is a value that collected. If they have other questions on this, it will be best to have support review their individual form.

If the test email address looks good and this is more about cleaning up email addresses before they changed it, there a few steps they need to take. First, they should make sure it was clear that those signing up were opting in to receive email communication. If it is, they can run a Create a List of Contacts that submitted the form in question. From there, they can run the Email Address Status Report from the My List page. Then, they can filter to only show Not Subscribed status within the Report. From here, they will select Report Actions and Export & Apply Bulk Actions. On the next pop up, they have a few different options that they can choose as they see fit. I would likely suggest the select Mark all email addresses as Subscribed, Confirmation Unknown and then select Export & Apply Bulk actions. This will change the subscription status of the email addresses that were in the report they just ran.”
