Tribute gift notifications

I’ve set up an online donate form to send out notifications to honorees after an honor/memorial gift, and I tested it with a colleague’s email address, but it’s been 24 hours and I’m not seeing the email notification. Does anyone know how long after a donation those notifications are typically supposed to go out?

Update on this: there were syntax errors in conditional content that I was using, specifically on the usage of the tribute type field (honor vs. memorial), which broke the subject line and prevented the email from firing. Once I fixed that error, the email was sent immediately and normally.

It does not appear that these emails are affected by subscriptions status because they are not considered targeted email.

Hi Sam. I don’t have experience with this situation in particular, but we’ve come across a few issues with emails not sending through EA. If you’re sending it through a targeted email, keep in mind that the email address in question (the honoree) is REQUIRED to be “subscribed.” If that email address is “unsubscribed” or even “not subscribed” (a neutral field), understand that EA will not ever send them a targeted email, for legal compliance.

Any chance that’s your issue?
