Hello, I oversee a program that integrates behavioral health into primary care (specifically using the AIMS model of Collaborative Care).  I was curious to connect with others using Apricot for behavioral health, especially in this type of setting, to hear how you are using it.

Thanks!

By primary care do you mean as part of the visit with their pediatrician? Or as part of primary school? We have a couple programs bringing behavoiral health consultants into school settings for elementary and middle school.

Hi Naomi, thanks for your response-

Our program is with 18+, so it is with adult visits with their primary care provider.  The primary care provider refers to our embedded behavioral health staff, who also consult with a psychiatrist.

We used to use a different case management system and recently started using Apricot to maintain a registry of active patients, monitor their progress, etc.

Ah ok. That’s a bit different than our services. Our behavioral health programs are for middle shoolers and high schoolers. We do have some programs for adults but they’re focused on first-time moms/parents and providing parenting coaching to prevent kids from being placed into foster care or provide an avenue for reunification.

Hopefully someone is able to give you the perspective you’re looking for! I’m going to keep watching in case there’s something we can learn for our programs. While our programs are different, feel free to ask questions if you have any.
