Overview

Donor cards appear in the Noteworthy section of the Cultivate tab and help you identify contacts needing special attention based on specific triggers or events.

Step 1: Understand how donor cards are prioritized

Donor cards are added to your workflow based on this hierarchy of triggers (in priority order):

  1. Marked Deceased in past 7 days

  1. Pledge past due

  1. Follow Up is past due

  1. Follow Up is due today

  1. Recent donation in the past 7 days (including Donor Advised Funds, Family/Private Foundation, and Workplace Giving)

  1. Recent pledge in past 7 days

  1. Birthday is in the next 7 days

  1. Membership is in lapsed status

  1. Membership expired in last 7 days

  1. Lapsed donor who gave longer ago than 365 days

  1. Contact recently assigned to staff in past 7 days

  1. WealthEngine updated in past 7 days

  1. No recent contact by any portfolio owner in last 90 days

Step 2: Review donor card information

  1. Each card shows basic contact details

  1. A message explains why the contact needs review

  1. A summary of the donor's giving history is displayed

Step 3: Act on donor cards

  1. Click the Action menu (three dots) on the donor card

  1. Choose from options:

    1. Create or edit action plans

    2. Schedule follow-ups

    3. Other responsive actions based on the trigger

  2. After taking action, you can dismiss the card for 7 days

Step 4: Managing the donor card workflow

  1. The default view shows 6 cards at once

  1. When you dismiss a card, a new one will load

  1. After 7 days, dismissed cards may reappear if there is still a qualifying reason for attention
