NFG is not able to pull all donors who contributed funds in certain fiscal year, with the TOTAL amount that they contributed during that fiscal year. When I go to export, there is not an option to export the total donations for that fiscal year (only for current fiscal year or previous fiscal year).
There are options to pull for various calendar years but not for various fiscal years. I want to pull the names and then those donors total fiscal year donations.
NFG help notes: We currently do not have a filter specifically for selecting a fiscal year. However, if you know the date range for the fiscal year you're looking for, you can run a report based on that timeframe.
I did this, but I cannot export the total dollar amount from the donors. Basically I can pull this on the "giving” side, but then this requires me to add up the donors money manually since it pulls each donor's transactions separately and we have many donors who give multiple times a year. The problem is with the export.
NFG says: Thank you for pointing that out—I understand how important it is to see the total amount each donor contributed for a certain fiscal year, especially with so many individual transactions. Unfortunately, the export lists each donation as a separate transaction, and there isn’t a built-in feature that automatically summarizes totals per donor for a specific fiscal year. At this time, the best approach would be to apply a date filter in Excel for the FY and then use a pivot table or summary formula to group and total the donations by donor. I know it’s not as convenient, and I really appreciate your patience.
