Donor Payment Donations Never Deposited

I’ve read the FAQ disbursement. I have several credit card donations that have never been deposited. One common thread is that they are Amex recurring donations. In the meantime, I have received several donations after the missing donations at the regular 5 business day cycle, including ones with Amex credit cards (so I don’t think it’s amex specific).

Here are the last 3 missing transactions, all well past the 5 business day cycle. The payout date is listed as None in the details page of each transaction.

What causes those donations to fail (expired cards?) and how can I eliminate the failures?
