Does Network for Good offer a check-in kiosk for volunteers to check themselves in when they arrive on site?

Is there a way to list opportunities and have volunteers sign themselves up via an emailed link?

Hi @KristaTGCP ! There is currently no option for volunteers to check themselves in, but they can self-report their hours after the event is over using the self-reporting form on each opportunity.

If you want to have a list of opportunities, I’d recommend creating a Form (or multiple forms) as a volunteer event signup. With Forms, you can set a cut-off for signups by number of submissions to create a waitlist and date to prevent signups after the event took place. So it’s kind of up to you if you want to build a Form for each opportunity (you could duplicate a Form and make the minor changes to save time) or if you want to use one Form and have all the upcoming opportunities listed inside of it (maybe using the Checkbox field to allow volunteers to sign up for one or more events). If you do build multiple forms, I would think to have a page on your website where they are all linked… but this seems like more of a manual process than you might want.

Hi! I am also struggling to find a way to share volunteer opportunities and not just the self-reporting form. I’ll have to play around with the idea to create a form for the opportunities. I’m currently taking screenshots of my volunteer dashboard and using them to create an email blast, but it’s time-consuming and doesn’t translate from laptop to phone screen very well. The form may be my best option for now.

That said, given that nonprofits rely so heavily on their volunteer force, it would be fantastic to have a more complete volunteer management portal that would allow us to share a link to the individual opportunities with details, then a button to sign up for that opportunity or self-report hours.

Hi @Kelli Stojic ! That’s tricky! I do think using Forms is a better option for you currently. Appreciate you sharing that feedback with your practical use case.

If you decide to stick with the email/screenshot route, you should come to Office Hours and we can look at formatting it so it can hopefully come through cleaner regardless of desktop or mobile viewing.
