When you want more than a quick dashboard overview, EveryAction's Report Manager gives you detailed templates for analyzing your email results. You can compare emails, track individual recipient behavior, review A/B test results, and more.
Before You Begin
- You have access to Reporting in EveryAction. If you don't, reach out to your admin.
- At least one email has been sent from your account.
Time estimate: 5–10 minutes
Step 1: Navigate to Report Manager
Start from the EveryAction Home Page.
- From the left-hand sidebar, click Reporting.
- Open the Report Manager.
Don't see Reporting? Use the Search for a page field and type Report Manager.
Step 2: Choose the Right Report Template
Report Manager includes several templates for email performance. Choose the one that matches what you're trying to learn:
- Email Comparison Report — Summarizes performance for each sent email (opens, clicks, conversions, donations, bounces, unsubscribes). Does not list individual recipients. You can filter by email type (Single or Series). You can also add columns to help differentiate machine opens from actual email opens.
- Email Performance Report — Shows results for each recipient of a selected email sent in the last 13 months, including opens, clicks, conversions, donations, and bounces. Note: this report counts only Hard and Soft Bounces.
- Email Test Case Comparison Report — Compares how A/B test variants performed. Includes one row per test case. Useful even without A/B tests if you want to include subject lines in your report. You can also add columns to help differentiate machine opens from actual email opens.
- Email Links Comparison Report — Shows response rates for specific links in your emails. Filter or group by UTM codes or other details to compare link performance across emails.
- Email Address Status Report — One row per email address, showing subscription and Confirmed Opt-In status, and — if unsubscribed — how the unsubscribe happened.
Step 3: Run and Review Your Report
- Select the report template you want.
- Apply any filters needed — such as date range or email type. To focus on a specific automation, use Group by Automation Name.
- Review the results.
A Note on Bounce Rate Differences
Depending on where you view bounce data, the numbers may differ. Here's why:
- Targeted Email Dashboard and Email Comparison Report: Counts Hard Bounces, Soft Bounces, and Failed Delivery.
- Email Performance Report: Counts only Hard and Soft Bounces.
- Contact Details: Includes Unsubscribed in Hard Bounce totals.
- Create a List (bounce search): Includes both Hard and Soft Bounces.
This is expected behavior. Use the method that best matches what you're measuring.
