Question

Unable to Test Impact Hub with Sandbox Site

I’m running into an issue with Impact Hub. I’d like to evaluate whether it will meet our organization’s needs, but it appears that I’m unable to connect it to our Sandbox Site to pull test data from the new forms I’ve created.

During a webinar, I asked about this and was told that Impact Hub would be able to pull data from our Sandbox Site. If that’s not possible, how am I supposed to evaluate this feature before deploying anything to production?

One of my goals is to understand how Impact Hub’s reporting capabilities should influence the design of the forms I’m building as part of our system overhaul. I want to test it using the forms I’ve already configured in the Sandbox Site so I can determine whether the form design supports the reporting and analytics we’ll need before we finalize our implementation.

Can you clarify whether connecting Impact Hub to a Sandbox Site is supported? If so, could you explain how to set it up? If not, what is the recommended way to test and validate reporting before moving changes into production?

To provide additional information, here is what I see when I try to add another connection to Impact Hub:

So even though our Impact Hub is only connected to our production site, and I am an administrator on both our production site and our sandbox site, this is the pop-up that I keep running into.

Hi Hollie, Apricot administrators should be able to connect both their production and sandbox environments to Impact Hub as seen in the sample below.

Some important notes when connecting your Sandbox site

  • Make sure you're signed in using the same email address as your Apricot administrator account
  • If your admin account was created recently, it may need up to 24 hours to sync with Impact Hub

If you're still seeing an error saying all your organizations are already connected, try these steps:

  • Clear your browser cache or try an incognito window
  • Make sure you're not logged into your live Apricot site at the same time (use a separate incognito window if testing both)
  • Wait a full 24 hours if your admin account/Sandbox site is new

Once connected, you'll be able to build reports and dashboards against your sandbox test data, which will let you evaluate how your form design supports your reporting needs before you move anything to production.

If the troubleshooting steps do not work, we recommend reaching out to Support at apricot@bonterratech.com or get in-product Support and they’ll be able to check what might be going on! Hope this helps!
