I have staff members saying that since last week, they have not been able to send out draft emails to people. Any one else having this issue? 

For the 501c3 orgs that use EveryAction, this question is for us. United Way and other workplace giving/3rd party gift processors love to take processing or admin fees out of the pledges. This creates chaos in properly recording the donor’s gift! How are you recording these gifts and, ideally giving the donor credit? Pledges--how are you reflecting them being paid, since UW takes forever to payout pledges? Soft Credits--how do you know which donor to attribute the gift to? And of course, if you sync your EA donations with your org’s Finance Dept, how do you make sure these gifts aren’t being double counted? I’d love to hear from anyone who has figured out a way to make this work.

How are other folks using the list or reporting tools in order to prepare 990 reports annually?I’m trying to create a list of households or businesses that gave $X+ across a specific revenue stream and date range (our fiscal year). This is important for our tax filings but also for major donor identification, board reports, and campaign planning.The fact that EveryAction's Create a List can't filter by Revenue Stream, and the reporting tools don't easily support "show me households that gave $X+ across specific revenue streams in a date range" means you're stuck with manual workarounds for a fundamental fundraising task.Anyone else come up with an easy solution?

Question for non-Bonterra staff…. Has anyone had success resolving issues with accounting?Please respond with a direct message - I’d love to connect for advice. On a few occasions, we’ve had some major disconnect between our account manager (main advocate within Bonterra), and Bonterra’s accounting office. Seems to be a regular occurrence that we’re told things are resolved, and then need to be re-resolved. It’s been a major headache.If anyone has a success story - and some tips, I’m all ears. An employee recently left our company but had several Scheduled Reports that no longer run.  Is there any way to change the ownership of the Reports?  What about Saved Searches?  Are there any other best practices that should take place before someone leaves in order to avoid failed reports?

In fielding a request from one of our program teams, I realized that county information is available irregularly across the default reports - In my case, county information was not available in the “Online Form Custom Question Response.”Is is possible to request data fields be made available on particular reports? Or a good resource to understand what fields generally are available on what reports? For the time being, our program team got what they were looking for - I know we can do some “post-processing” in excel for an easy join, but ideally this would be a relatively self-serve report for the program teams. I appreciate any feedback from the community!

A client who is migrating to EA wants to recreate it’s premium gift forms and is frustrated that if a particular premium has different options (for example different colors of the same water bottle, or different sizes of the same tshirt) they need to create a separate premium for each variant that doesn’t work well in terms of the user experience. Apparently the premium gift option in Luminate (from whence they are migrating) doesn’t have this same limitation -- They have a dropdown that gives the option of selecting a tshirt (and from within that choice, a dropdown selecting the specific size) or “thanks, no tshirt”Has anyone encountered an elegant solution or workaround for this issue?Even if it involves a front end dev using Javascript for example?

I’d like to remove “hard bounced” emails from our active donor profiles so that we’re not sending emails that bounce back straight away. *I’m sure there’s a lovely automation to do that for future emails, but right now I’m focused on ones already in the system, many of which exist as “Unsubscribed - Hard Bounce.”I haven’t found an export format or report that includes all emails on a profile and tells me whether or not they’ve soft or hard bounced - only the confirmation status. If there’s a format I haven’t found yet, please let me know! Otherwise, I’ve been going into CAL to pull a list of people who had a “bounced” result under the Targeted Email tab. But when I check their profiles, many of the emails are already removed.I know there’s an easier way to do this, so please let me know what others are doing!

​Moving this to a new thread completely, and would love a Bonterran answer.  @Megan Dodds can you redirect to the most appropriate Bonterran to answer this? Ever since our migration, I’ve been confused about who is who, and who we reach out to with what questions. Can you give an overview of the various internal roles: account manager, account executive, and our renewal specialist?What should be our expectations for communication with these various contacts? When do we reach out to an individual directly? and when is it best to submit a support ticket through billing/accounting? I recognize that I had a pretty unusual setup for a year - with scheduled quarterly calls directly with our account manager. But without that I’m quite confused on who is responsible for what. 

Is it possible to set up a contribution form in which there are different suggested donation amounts for monthly and annual recurring payments, not just one-time or recurring payments? Donation options with “monthly” recurring payments selected.Donation options with “yearly” recurring payments selected.As you can see, the amount does not change when I toggle between Monthly and Yearly. To provide different options, will I have to create separate forms? Looking forward to hearing everyone’s ideas/feedback!

My understanding is that if multiple contacts share the same email, Targeted Email and Send an email in a workflow only sends an email to the contact who most recently had that email address added to their record. If that contact is not included in a saved search for a workflow due to suppressions, e.g. marked as deceased, or their email is marked as unsubscribed, will that mean that no one with that email address will receive an email? Or does it send to the next most recent?

How do others work around the lack of option to offer discount codes in event registration?Do you just make a lot of different forms with different registration costs?

Hello all! Our organization has a lot of international donors. The way EA forms are intended to work is when the US/Canada is selected it populates a dropdown box in State/Province. For other countries (all other countries?) it disables the verification so that the State/Province can be manually entered. Sometimes, however, the manual State/Province entry isn’t accepted, still returning the error “State/Province is required.” Has anyone else had experience with this? I may have narrowed it down that it’s most likely to happen, when multiple forms are on the same webpage.Appreciate anyone else’s input or experience on managing international donors, which I know seems to be a small part of the EA network/focus. Hi All - I posted this under the Fundraising community, but sharing here as well….Curious if there are other organizations represented here that are primarily working with a Catholic audience?I’d love to connect and swap notes around things like how you handle religious prefixes and suffixes - and how you work around character limits, how you’ve organized tracking for nuns or priests within specific orders. We try to keep everything correct in the Formal Envelope Name field, but it would still be nice to use create-a-list to find all the “OFM Cap” suffixes for example.  

My organization has about a dozen events each spring and fall that are the same format but have different dates, times, and locations. People sign up through ticketed event forms. We want to send email reminders to registrants prior to the event (preferably 10 days out and 2 days out) and are trying to figure out the most straightforward way to do this. I’ve found two routes that each have their own challenges:Creating a workflow automation that uses a saved search with event (narrowed to the parameters so we’re not getting other event registrants in this flow) start date 10 days out, which will trigger sending an email. We love the set-it-and-monitor-it format of this, but the (major) drawback is that it sends a generic email. In some cases, people are registering almost 2 months in advance, so having them dig back in their emails for event details is a big ask. I created a volunteer form through Online Actions for people to request a service from us. I can see on my end that it is set up to send a copy of the confirmation email to two of our staff members, but after attempting multiple tests, it seems like the confirmation goes through to the client but not to us.

Two questions - How do I reconnect Auto-reply to donations made? How do I figure out why/how it was deactivated?

The enable Confirmed opt-in was used on a signup form, but the visibility of the email opt-in field was hidden. People submitting this form did not receive the triggered confirmation email. They are now marked as Sent-Not Confirmed. I am not able to change their status to pending on their contact record; the box is greyed out.Any idea how I can send these people an opt-in confirmation email? Re-submitting the corrected form doesn’t work.

I would like to recognize long-term recurring donors in ways that go beyond the initial letter we send after the first contribution and the email receipts that come with each monthly contribution. Much like the Contribution Acknowledgement Report, I would ideally like to generate letters on EveryAction and add a record to each person who is sent a letter. I would like it to include details that are available in the Recurring Commitment Report, like:Amount Frequency Start Date Total Contributions Received to Date Plus all of the fields required for sending a letter (name, address, etc.)Ideally, it would be great to have a Mail Merge Template that works for this purpose, or a way to generate a report that could be paired with a Word document to do my own mail merge. Hello! Does anyone use a Wix website and embed EveryAction donation forms with Apple Pay as a payment method? If so, I’d love to hear how you accomplished it. We’ve been helping a client with this, and have run into a few challenges since Wix tends to prioritize embedding through iframes, which can mask some things. For example, previously we successfully found a way to get an Optimized Form button to work as an embed using Velo (it didn't work in the native Wix embed), but are now struggling with helping Apple Pay to recognize the verified domain file in the .well-known directory for the embedded form.If we need to, we have a web developer we can go back to, but am wondering if there’s any community wisdom someone could share first. Thanks in advance!

When I add new events and use merge form language (reusables), sometimes the event is listed 3 hours later than intended. It doesn’t happen every time, but often. Using the same template - and where no changes to the reuseables - some events are the correct time, others are not.  

I asked this question in the Fundraising group but haven’t gotten a response--maybe this is a better place for it. Is there a way to add a Custom Calculated Field that calculates the amount of time that has passed since a donor’s first contribution? We are investigating using language such as “Thank you for being a supporter for __ years!” in cultivation and appreciation messages.

This is a two part question that stems from government comment periods not providing email addresses to deliver comments, and what appears to be EA’s inability to deliver comments to government portals any longer. First, can someone confirm that EA cannot deliver to governement comment periods on the government website?Second, if that is true, I would still like to allow users to customize suggested copy the way they do with an advoacy form. If we could download all the comments and deliver them to a target, using an advocacy action would be fine. But it seems as though you cannot collect advocacy form comments and then deliver them separately - they need to go to a target. And even if I made a fake target, there’s no way to download them? But petitions do not allow for customization of comments. So people can only insert a comment as a custom field, producing some strange comments when you then deliver your signatures. How are groups handling this? An
