Today I learned something new from a bunch of TGE nerds (former EveryAction coworkers of mine who gave me advice on a puzzling client question) I had a client who switched in February 2026 from the traditional email editor in Targeted Email to Drag & Drop.  Their 2x a month newsletter design and content length didn’t change but was rebuilt in the Drag & Drop editor instead. Their click rate stayed the same, but their open rate fell by 75%!  Or so it seemed.What actually happened was that the same newsletter design, when transferred into Drag & Drop editor, had a ton of HTML added by the Drag & Drop editor and that made the email file size exceed the 102kb gmail threshhold… causing Gmail to truncate their email and put a “view entire message” link. And guess where the open pixel lives?  at the very bottom of the code so the gmail clipping meant the pixel d

 (See Above Screenshot) We sent an email that inspired 150 people to take an action. However, in the email dashboard, it shows that this email produced, 241 “New Contacts”. We received 25 new subscribers, and 150 people took action, but what does the 241 new contacts mean?

There is a campaign created in my system that ended up not being used. Is there a way to delete the campaign all together?

Is there a way to reassign a contribution to a different contact without deleting the contribution? For instance, if I misapplied a DAF contribution to a donor’s contact record (instead of a DAF provider with a soft-credit to that contributor) can I reassign the contribution without deleting and re-entering it?

I need to be able to export all emails by contact record from EA.  I am able to export preferred (which is a duplicate of one of the following categories), personal, work, and other.  Many of our contacts have multiple personal emails associated with their contact record and I cannot find a way to export all of the emails.

TLDR: We want to create a list of donors who haven’t received contact in a year, but we don’t want that list to include the spouses/partners of people who we have contacted. How do we filter contact status by household rather than by profile? We’d like to create a list (or pull a report) that would show us who hasn’t gotten personal contact in a year. The basic process seems to be Create a List > Contact Status > Exclude contacts based on relevant results in the past 12 months. That seems to work for individuals.  Here’s the tricky part: we contact financial households by the household, but only list it under one member (usually the primary donor). Ex: Alice and Mary give together, but Alice is our main donor. We address communications to “Alice and Mary,” but we record the contact on Alice’s profile since she’s primary. Now, when we pull the list of contact statuses, it tells us that Mary has not been contacted this year.  There’s no

I’ve set up an online donate form to send out notifications to honorees after an honor/memorial gift, and I tested it with a colleague’s email address, but it’s been 24 hours and I’m not seeing the email notification. Does anyone know how long after a donation those notifications are typically supposed to go out?

TL;DR: Is there a way to grant our staff the access they need without making them all admins? We use EveryAction and can assign defined user roles — no customization that I know of.The full context:The majority of our organization is on the campaign/advocacy side of work and the user roles on that side are pretty limited and seem to not quite meet our needs. Most of our campaign staff are set to grassroots user roles. Some of their work includes working with businesses or government entities — contact type: organization — but they seem to be unable to view this contact type, which is really limiting. They also can’t search by online actions, like advocacy forms, even though that’s useful information for them. Hi EA folks! I’m looking to keep our number of contacts below the paid-for threshold. What’s the best way to do this? Find old contacts with no donation history and no longer subscribed to emails, and bulk-delete them? Has anyone gone through this process?

I’d like to create a list of donors from our annual campaign this year who increased their gifts in a substantial way. I’ve tried it a couple of different ways- each time I end up with different lists. What would be the best way to do this? Thanks!

We just finished our annual campaign and were surprised by how many first time donors the fundraising dashboard was showing. I used Create A List to generate my own list of first time donors, and when I went in and actually looked at each donor, many (almost half) were actually financially householded with regular donors as the other member. How do I get a good count of actual new donors without having these folks counted (my org would not see these as new donors). I did use the narrow by financial household step in my search creation.Thanks!

We use EA to track our Fundraiser’s success.  Each Fundraiser is an Assigned Staff member.  We use that to track how much a Fundraiser has raised. So if I have a Contact that is “owned” by an Assigned Staff member and then another staff member solicits a donation from that “owned” contact, how do I assign that specific contribution to the second Fundraiser (assigned staff)? I want that contribution to be credited to the second Assigned Staff member but want the contact as a whole to stay with the original Assigned Staff member.Same question just from s different angle.  If I have an unassigned Contact who has given $10,000 this year, and in November, a Fundraiser solicits a $1000 donation, how do I Assign that Contact to an Assigned staff with out having the $10,000 that was historically raised attributed to that Assigned Staff member? 

I can’t work for more than a few minutes on email newsletters without getting an error message that my page didn’t save and I need to refresh and/or sign in again (same difference, I’m bounced off the page). I’m not exaggerating. I can’t work for a steady amount of time without the error or refreshing just to make sure the system saves my work. Newsletters now are a nightmare to work on. I am so disappointed; just started happening a month or so ago.

How do I edit the financial household export and reporting fields related to names? It seems to be automatically generated, but there have been some glaring errors that we’d like to manually edit and avoid. I exported a list of donors with the field “Financial Household Salutation Informal,” and one of those names includes a deceased household member. Yikes! He’s marked as deceased in EA, and his living wife’s info had been edited to include only her name in the “Name” section of her profile. So why is his name auto populating if EA knows he’s deceased? My priorities for solving this are:Find a way to manually edit FH names via a hidden field somewhere. Understand where those auto generated names are populating from. That includes the various related fields for formal, informal, salutation, name, etc.It’s not an option for us to close a financial household after one member is deceased due to accounting purposes. 

Hello! I feel so silly asking this because I am sure there is a simple answer...yet somehow I cannot find it today.  I am trying to send out Year-End Receipts to our donors now that we have all of our check donations in the system. However, when I go into the donor profile it only allows me to send the letter from 2024 and I am having trouble remembering how I created such letter to add a new one for 2025. I remember uploading this letter at some point but can't find where this is done in the system.Can someone help me to find where these particular type of letters/emails live on the platform so that I can upload or create a new one for 2025?  Thank you! 

Hello everyone! I’ve been encountering a situation that I need a bit of assistance on. Our organization receives checks from donors with the naming pattern of “X and Y Last Name” and I wanted to see what is the best way to upload this information on EveryAction and still properly attribute the contribution to both profiles without creating a duplicate amount. For example, A check arrives from “Andy and Bob Doe” for the amount of $100.00. We have a profile for Andy Doe and Bob Doe. When we do a portal upload, we only assign the contribution to Andy Doe and then add Bob Doe’s name on the Notes section of the contribution. We do this because we don’t want EveryAction to think we received $200.00 from the group, $100 from Andy and $100 from Bob. Is there a better way to attach both profiles to this one contribution so that both profiles receive the proper recognition? I am trying to add Fair Market Value to several past contributions so when I send the Year End Receipts, they will include the correct Fair market values not just the total contributions.When I look up directions on how to add Fair Market Values to contribution it shows me screenshots that do not reflect how my Every Action contribution form looks like. I found this article stating “In order to use this feature, you must have tax-deductible tracking enabled for any of your designations that receive charitable donations. Contact Client Services if you need to enable this (or are unsure if it is enabled). Once it has been enabled, two values will appear on all contributions: Fair Market Value and Tax-Deductible amount. Once you enter the Fair Market Value, our system will automatically calculate the tax-deductible amount.” but I am having trouble finding how to even contact client services.  Can someone help me figure

I am trying to set a cap on the number of attendees who can signup for an event. I set up the Event Type to have a maximum number of event roles but when I create and tested an event with a maximum, I was able to signup more than the maximum through the online form. I was hoping there would be an option to automatically deactivate the form when the maximum signups were reached. I can’t find anything in the event or on the form that manages the cap on the backend to actually stop registration once the maximum is met. Does anyone have insight on how to set it up to stop registration once the maximum is reached?

I just held an event and want to indicate that my ticket purchases attended and also assign me attendees an activist code. What is the easiest way to do that?
